New Farm is a charming, character-filled suburb nestled in a bend of the Brisbane river

The suburb has kept its original charm as opposed to other recently-gentrified neighbourhoods. Tranquill streets are lined with low rise houses in the distinctive Queenslander style. New Farm is sometimes referred to as “Gay Farm” because it has the highest number of same-sex couples in Queensland[6]. There are no LGBT venues as such, but there is a noticeable LGBT+ representation everywhere you go. Take the City Cat from the CBD for a scenic journey or walk via the Riverwalk.
