Inner-city Brisbane has undergone a transformation over the past decade resulting in a number of buzzing neighbourhoods with countless great eating and drinking options. Fortitude Valley, Teneriffe and South Brisbane have all experienced a renaissance with new developments and streets lined with cute cafes, bars and restaurants.

Brisbane does not have a gay village as such, however there is a noticeable gay population in New Farm, Teneriffe and Fortitude Valley. Brisbane’s nightlife (including gay nightlife) is centred in Fortitude Valley.
