Melbourne’s de facto gay village, Smith Street, has been named the coolest street in the world by Timeout magazine.
Smith Street in Collingwood (or Fitzroy, depending on which side of the street you’re standing on) has taken out the top gong in Timeout’s annual Coolest Streets in the World list.
The list is based on a survey of the magazine’s readers as well as Timeout editors and experts.
The vibrant and eclectic street took out top prize with its selection of queer venues, pubs, wine bars, vintage record stores and endless eating options. Check out the Collingwood city guide to discover what all the fuss is about.
