The Melbourne International Film Festival runs from 4-21 August with a huge program of Australian and international films.
MIFF celebrates its 70th birthday this year and to put that into perspective, Cannes is only five years older at 75. This year's festival includes 257 features, including 177 Australian premieres so there is something for everyone no matter your cinematic tastes.
