A lively queer bar on King Street serving up drag, DJs, themed parties and late-night dancing, all with the playful energy, inclusive spirit and creative edge that define Newtown.
Stonewall Newtown carries the spirit of the legendary Oxford Street venue into Sydney’s Inner West. Set on bustling King Street, it combines a welcoming neighbourhood-bar atmosphere with the drag, music and larger-than-life entertainment for which Stonewall became famous.
Expect regular DJs, themed parties, comedy, live performances and community events, with late-night dancing on weekends. It is a proudly queer gathering place that feels right at home amid Newtown’s creative and inclusive culture.
Stonewall Newtown opened in early March 2026 as a sister venue to the long-running Oxford Street institution, carrying the name into Sydney’s inner west at a moment of change for the city’s queer nightlife.
