The Northside Bizarre is an annual event for the queer leather and kink community.
This event has been going for 10 years and continues to get bigger and better. It's an opportunity for the leather and kink community to showcase their gear and fundraise for important community causes. They support Thorne Harbour Health's David Williams Fund (offering support to people living with HIV) and Joy 94.9 (Melbourne's queer community radio).
There is an area to buy kink and leather gear at reduced prices. There are also live performances and lots of colourful and friendly characters. The event takes place at the Laird as well as the neighbouring Masonic Hall and the section of Henry Street that runs between the two. The event now has thousands of people attend each year.
