The Ian Potter Centre is a gallery that is dedicated to Australian art.

It calls Federation Square home in Melbourne's CBD. It houses the Australian collection from The National Gallery of Victoria from both indigenous and non-indigenous artists. It is a remarkable collection and the world's first gallery that is dedicated to all Australian art.

Entry is free for their permanent collection but entry fees may apply for special exhibitions.

Sir William Ian Potter was an Australian stockbroker who was a businessman and philanthropist. His charitable organisation called The Ian Potter Foundation was established in 1964. It makes grants to research institutes, charities, universities and arts organisations. In 1962, Ian Potter was knighted. His daughter Caroly is married to Simon Betterman Parker Bowles who is the brother of Brigadier Andrew Parker Bowles (the former husband of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall).
