Her Majesty's Theatre is a large heritage-listed venue.

It is one of the six main theatres in Melbourne's East End Theatre District.

You can find a variety of performances here including opera, ballet, plays and concerts. The venue also hosts events and functions. It is a historical building that was built in 1886 that has a 1,700 seat capacity.

The theatre has undergone a number of name changes in its nearly 150 years of operation. It was originally called the Alexandra Theatre. However, in 1900 it was renamed in honour of Queen Victoria eight months before she died. In 1924, the theatre's name changed again to His Majesty's Theatre in honour of King George V. Then in 1952, it was renamed back to Her Majesty's Theatre in honour of Queen Elizabeth II becoming the Queen of Australia.
