Dance parties, Pride events, and visiting organisers — queer Crete knows how to move when the season's right.

Crete's dance party scene is smaller than you might expect from an island this size. The centrepiece is Apollo Party Crete, the island's dedicated queer dance event and the most reliable fixture on the calendar. Beyond that, the three main cities — Heraklion, Chania, and Rethymno — each host Pride celebrations that typically come with at least one proper party night attached.

International organisers occasionally make the trip too. London-based Seasoned, known for their LGBTQ+ day parties and a loyal crowd of 25-and-overs, have brought their energy to the island before — worth following if you're planning ahead.
