SoPop hits the floor every Friday night, with house lights down, beats up and a vibe that feels every bit like a full-on circuit-party. Promoter Harry K has crafted the night as his “pop-obsessed” takeover: think epic throwbacks from Britney to Beyoncé, Gaga to Charli, mashed together with big-room energy and club visuals.
Drag shows anchor the atmosphere, with fierce performances, guest stars and go-go dancers adding colour and heat to the evening. Throw in vibrant visuals, high-energy DJs, and a crowd there to lose it on the dance floor, and SoPop comes through as one of Brisbane’s most exhilarating queer nights out.
Harry K has been a powerhouse in Brisbane’s queer nightlife for over 25 years, starting as a club promoter and DJ before building iconic nights such as Fluffy and now launching fresh concepts like Precious and SoPop at the heart of Fortitude Valley. Known for high-production shows, major drag talent, and safe inclusive spaces, his current projects span everything from luxe pool-and-party club nights to full stage-takeovers of Brisbane’s top venues.
