A compact precinct within Fortitude Valley with Chinese pagodas and lanterns featuring a plethora of pan-Asian restaurants, shops and businesses.
Chinatown is centred on the Chinatown mall that runs along Duncan street between Ann and Wickham streets. You’ll find not only Chinese restaurants and shops, but also other Asian cuisines such as Korean, Indonesian, Japanese, Thai and Vietnamese.
Chinatown’s popularity with Chinese Australians has declined in the past few decades and the suburb of Sunnybank is now seen as the centre of chinese culture in Brisbane.
