Mount Buller is an alpine town 3 hours drive from Melbourne. It is most popular during the winter months as a ski resort. However, it also draws tourists during summer.
The town itself has a permanent population of fewer than 300, however, it can swell to several thousand during peak season. The town is the largest ski resort in Victoria with over 7,000 beds.The ski resort has a network of 22 lifts and 80 km of trails offering beginner, intermediate and advanced terrain.
In the summer months, the resort attracts visitors looking for a rural retreat and offers many outdoor activities such as hiking and mountain bike riding.
