The venue consists of an indoor area downstairs as well as a sprawling rooftop bar with the best views in the city. The venue is very popular and rightfully so. The rooftop location is the perfect place to imbibe with friends while taking in the most jaw-dropping views of the city.

They don't take reservations for the patio so you're only option is to turn up and wait for a table to become free. It's a large space so usually you won't have to wait long. You can always catch the lift back down to ground level where it's usually quieter. Or, there's an indoor restaurant area on the rooftop that will take reservations.

It's a tapas-style menu with small shareable plates perfect for casual eating.

The curious name of the venue comes from a Russian immigrant who made his way to Melbourne in the 1920s. Leon Satanovich, or, "Satan" as he came to be known distilled vodka in the building during the Great Depression. The heat generated by the stills combined with the Melbourne summer meant he would strip down to his underwear when distilling the vodka. To keep this moonshining a secret, anyone who partook would use the code phrase, “Let’s get Naked for Satan”. Read more about the venue's story on their About Us page.
