The Regent Theatre is home to large-scale theatre productions.

It is one of the six main theatres in Melbourne's East End Theatre District and one of four that is owned by the Marriner Group.

The large-scale venue boasts over 2,000 seats over two levels in its breathtaking auditorium. The lavish venue has presented some of the world's most well known theatre productions.

The Regent Theatre has had a complex past including surviving a fire, a flood, 20 years of closure and the threat of demolition. However, it was renovated in the 1990's back to its former glory. It originally opened in 1929 as a 'picture palace' which we now know today as a movie theatre or cinema.
