The Beat is a long-running staple of Brisbane’s gay scene (26 years and going strong!). The venue features 5 rooms, 6 bars and 3 beer gardens spread over 2 levels
The Beat has a traditional gay bar feel with a cheap-and-cheerful decor and black-on-black colour scheme seemingly to provide cover of darkness for all hedonistic pursuits the gay bar offers. This is a come-as-you-are venue with no pretensions which makes for a lively night out and packed dance floor. There is normally a cover charge from 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.
