The Harehole was formerly known as Hares and Hyenas (which has since relocated to the Victorian Pride Centre in St Kilda). The versatile venue is used as a performance space, queer community centre and bookstore.

While most of their books have been moved to the Victorian Pride Centre, they have kept a few shelves at this location and can get any requested books from St Kilda to Fitzroy as needed.
